Also not an Oiler fan. I agree with this.

Muzzin returned a 1st and two solid prospects. Klefbom is better than Muzzin. Nurse is about the same as Muzzin, but younger and cheaper. Both of them should net better returns than what Muzzin got.

If i was STL in this case wanting Klefbom my ask would probs be:

2020 1st
Robert Thomas
Carl Gunnarsson

My only concern with that is Klefboms Corsi rating is insane.

Corsi has him rated as the #16 in LHD in the NHL.

While Nurse is "Only" rated at #51 for LHD

Klefbom also is playing Top mins against top lines while nurse does get a lot of TOI is still playing against the 2/3rd lines most of the time.

Yeah Blues would absolutely not do that. They might do 2020 1st + Kyrou + Gunnarsson or another prospect LD though. Thomas is off limits, as is Bokk.

LOL Good luck with that Klef isn't even going to get Thomas by himself much less a 1st and Thomas. Thomas, Bokk, Kostin off the table maybe Kyrou, but that's it. Kleffer ain't that good.

But yeah I was thinking 1st + A prospect + NHL player. I was considering something like 2020 1st + Kostin + Fabbri + Gunnarsson

Thomas would be the main part in the deal i mentioned above and the pieces would be worked around that

There is absolutely 0 chance Edmonton could pull Thomas. Armstrong would hold onto Thomas with his life.

My guess is the Blues would want Klefbom + roster player or mid prospect for the proposal I put forth.

Nurse and Klefbom are Edmonton’s only two good defencemen with decent contracts. If either player were lost the team would suffer even more than they are now. So you’d probably need to give up a Taylor Hall to get either
