Phil the Thrill Goes French

Created by: Arom5477
Team: 2019-20 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 1, 2019
Published: Apr. 1, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Phil Kessel+Bryan Rust+1st+3rd = Domi + High Conditionals
Maatta = Lehkonen

Lines Breakdown:
1st line:
Of course you've got the Crosby-Guentzel connection, but now you've got a RW that has always produced next to superstars.
2nd line:
Dynamic line that could feed off the momentum created by the 1st line and be REAL fun to watch,
3rd line:
An absolute bruiser line. Bjugstad and Ferland are massive humans that can forecheck and score. ZAR adds some simpleness to the line and is defensively responsible.
4th line:
Fast, counterpunching line that has a good defensive conscience and has the capability of each player hitting 15+ goals.

MTL decline, but value is there. Mtl are in reset, Suzuki Ylonen are good prospect RW.

Agreed. The value is fine but the principles behind it aren't. Phil the thrill is the guy you get to put you over the top, not to build around. Not to mention that Habs are taking on what....10M+ in this deal?

It was actually ARI choice of Sheary, Rust, or Simon. But I've liked Domi for a while, I just think he'd be perfect next to Geno. When I heard that he was linked to the Pens I was so excited. Apparently, the trade call was about to happen, then MTL called at the last minute offering Galchenyuk.

is this supposed to be serious? cause that montreal trade is garbage. Why the heck would the pens do that deal? that is terrible value even if those conditionals hit

Hard pass from the pens perspective. It’s already bad if the conditions are met, but gets insanely worse if they aren’t.

Insanely lopsided win of a trade for Montreal.
