CGY - HOLY OVERPAYMENT! Kadri and like 4th for Hamonic, Jankowski. Kadri has really high value. (and play Hamonic with Rielly and Stecher with Muzzin please.)

I think if the Leafs free some cap space then Gardiner could potentially return. I think if they trade Kapanen then there is a better chance that Gardiner returns, but if they sign Kapanen then he's gone.

Overpayment for Hamornic really. THis is why I love going on Leaf threads you guys are all nuts. He is top 4 RHD and Kadris value is alltime low. he is coming off worst season in 4 years and lowest goal total in full season. For second time he has was suspended in playoffs and with his record it will only get easier and longer suspensions. ALso, leafs have to shed salary.

Oh yeah overpayment for Hamonic. He doesnt have extreme value. Teams are valuying Kadri extremely high due to his lovely contract for top-6 centerman. This is why he is worth Trouba for example. They want him. Kadri at 4.5mil is better than Hayes at 6.5, Stastny at 6.5 and so on.. he has high value despite your fair statements about him.

I think the trade as posted is a bit too much. Not by much at all though. Think what is being missed by bigdog91 is term. Hamonic doesn’t have any and he is a one dimensional defensive player. Giving up 3 years of Kadri and up to 11 years of kapanen, 4 guaranteed is a bit too much for Rental. Think I would be happy with Kadri and a decent rhd prospect coming back. One of hollowell Duszak or lindgren. Then a conditional 2nd if hamonic re signs.

BTW Sammy good eye on the trades and the defensive pairings. Hamonic would be perfect for Rielly and the same for stecher with muzzin.

He is not worth Trouba that was joke by Avery making fun of the dumb leaf fans like yourself. He had 44 points and 16 goals that is not top 6 center stats. His value is at all time low. The only reason he has any value is because on good deal but that doesn't mean he is worth top 4 dman. With his suspension, his goal total dropped in half and point totals lowest of his career his value is all time low.

From what Ive heard there are some legit great options for RHD situations with Kadri involved either straight up or in package.. and Im talking big guns RHDmen.. if his value is this at all time low.. what is his value at all time high huh? I know you want to dismiss him as bad player and so on and so forth.. like you did with Zaitsev and it was proven that Zaitsev has positive value.. but Kadri was involved in talks with a lot of high end RHD. Teams want him.. Well he had lower point totals and lower goal totals but he is 25-30 goal scorer and 50-60 pt centerman consistently on GREAT deal.

Also regarding Trouba thing.. there are talks about that still happening (but you would say surely not happening right? lmao)

From what I have heard it wasn’t a joke so much as over zealous. Jets inquired on Kadri and dubas asked for trouba. Cheveldayoff countered the trade. No info on what the counter offer was.

1 never said he is bad player. I like kadri and would love to have him on sabres. I think he is exactly the player they need.

You cant say he is consistently 60 point 25/30 goal scorer when he only broke 60 once and didnt even crack 20 goals this year.

Really according to Sammy the jets should of jumped on the trouba trade. Kadri is worth torouba and maybe even a 1st!!!

If the Leafs sign Gardner they are going to lose at least one of Stecher, Hamonic and Muzzin the next year the way you have things structured. As well, Freddie Andersen will need a new contract eventually and that's harder with all the cash and term tied into Gardner. Cut bait on Jakey G.

doubtful VAN makes that trade. Stetcher may not be an "untouchable" but he is only a step removed. want one of our young core guys and us to take NZ? try add something valuable.
