No it's not, I likely wouldn't trade Jones straight up for Marner but it's not a joke.

Columbus desperately need offense with Panarin & Duchene gone as they have one 50 point forward signed and he's 30 .

Yes, Jones is worth more then Marner right now. Jones is signed and on a team friendly contract. Marner isn’t signed and is asking for too much.

LOL at thinking Lee is gonna sign with TOR for less years and AAV than the Isles current offer of 5yrs 7m AAV (and he WANTS to be here)... the crack must be good up in Toronto!

He grew up in Toronto, Lee didn't. Also, he took less AAV, but not less years, which is the hold up for Lee on his contract with NYI... Isles want to give him 5yrs and Lee wants 7-8... he's not signing ANYWHERE for 4.

Better hope you keep him, losing two captains back to back would be a shame

We survived (and thrived) after losing our Captain last year, we'll do the same this year. I'd rather not hand out a 7 year deal to someone who will be 35/36 when it's over and who's style of game play doesn't play well into their mid 30s (see Corey Perry). At least we have a GM now who is smart enough not to hand out a contract that could turn out to be another Ladd situation in 3-4 years... plus we have enough talent in our system and prospects ready to make the jump.

ANd if worse comes to worse, we can always offer sheet Marner.

Ho sang... top tier. Eberle will be next Ladd. I would love to see a team give up 4 1st rounders

Ho-Sang isn't our only prospect dude... Bellows, dal Colle, Beauvillier, Wahlstrom, Ho-Sang, Toews, Aho, Dobson, Wilde... do I need to go on?? All the prospects I just listed are exactly why the Isles could give up 4 1sts and it not be a big deal, especially considering the 4 1sts will likely be in the 20-31/32 range in the draft... not many good NHLers come from that range to begin with.
