They just moved Nylander because hes spare parts and I wouldnt put Puljujarvi much further ahead. Gagners a cap dump. Sabres could do better and the Oilers could be more efficient (nor do they need a RHD)

JP will be NHL player he has the size and speed to be top 6 if skill/mind catches up but he can always be a good bottom 6 guy.

Gagner is a dump but was on pace for over 30 points basically then same as Sheary was just creative way to retain salary for 1 year. Could just send Manning as the dump and omit Sheary and Gagner.

Nashville doesn't need a 7th defenseman. Buffalo doesn't need defensive prospects, Puljujarvi is trash, and there's no chance they accept a top-10 protected pick for a 24 year old top-4 defenseman with term, plus retain salary on Sheary. You're not getting good players for two of your biggest pieces of garbage in Gagner and Russell.

Russell wouldn't be a fit for Nashville. He doesn't save cap and he isn't good enough to slot into the top 4 dmen and paying a 5th/6th dman that kind of money wouldn't be helpful. I'd be much more interesting in Benning and maybe take Manning as well to even the caphit out (Nashville would just bury Manning). Benning fits the style of game Nashville plays

If NSH trades a center (Bonino or Turris) it would be to save cap space. If they don't save any cap, I doubt there are many deals out there that they would consider

Not in the Oilers current situation no. Their problems aren't on the blueline, they need scoring. Trading RNH for a D doesn't make sense for Edmonton but it's the only sensible piece Buffalo would want unless Nurse is available. If both teams wanted the trade, I could see a RNH for Risto go through, maybe a minor piece added by Buffalo but not much
