If Patrick Marleau's one-year $6.25MM cap hit took a first to erase, why would Backes' two-year hit for $6MM each cost so much less? Minnesota would go from a $4MM cap hit for 3 years to $6.5MM in two? That's making their cap hit worse -- in exchange for a fifth?

Stop trading 300 picks

We don't talk Jack Johnson, it's more difficult to deal him than Moore

Most importantly, Moore & Miller are injured/can't be traded.

ANA doesn't trade Kase

The NHL has no restrictions on trading Injured players. As long as the injury is disclosed, medicals have been exchanged, and the receiving team is willing injured players can be and are traded.

He can play in bottom-4 and both sides and looks okay, but he isn't good. Just look at his numbers

Orrrrr, you could look at him play

He's been fine, but we can agree to disagree. He played through some injuries last year and had to battle for time. I was actually surprised to see his scoring was near Grz (5 more points in 5 more games played). I think he'll be am attractive option for SEA at the expansion draft.

save money in two years. and rask's deal is really bad

Rask's deal is bad, but it's not preventing the Wild from re-signing their RFAs so not really a fair bad contract comparison.

Why? Johnson makes their team worse, and it would take a second and a third to trade him. They retained a little to get a bottom 2 defenseman. If I was PIT I would get rid of him at all costs.

He is okay, " not bad " or meh. He isn't " good " or " solid " at all. Your standards must be pretty low tears of joy

Anyways, he is 8th D now (assuming Miller is in the list)

He is pretty attractive (no homo), but I don't know if sea would take him, they would probably take someone else as BOS would probably lose a goalie.

They will take a D, most likely. McAvoy, Carlo will be protected. Then, if Krug re-signs and Grzelcyk is still here. Also, there are Clifton & Lauzon. Idk if Vaak is eligible

Depends on what the test of their roster looks like. Maybe they could use a veteran 2-way d-man with some term and low hit... hello Moore

Won’t be a goalie. If Krug re-signs it’s Grizz if not...Kuraly maybe, depends how things play out. B’s may have to work out some sort of deal but those never work out it seems. Tuch was traded to Vegas to get them to take Haula and Jax traded 2 picks and Clarkson to get them to take Karlsson....oops.

Rather than read a trash blog, written by some clown who maybe played jv high school hockey in Peabody, and blindly faking their opinion like a sheep, I think I’ll just watch hockey, and form my own opinions.

However, if you would prefer to avoid watching hockey and forming your own opinions at all costs, might I recommend advanced stats?

There are opinions and facts.

Like, you can like Backes and say good things about him but don't get offended when I say the Bruins are better without him in the lineup. That's a fact.

Not same situation for Moore but Moore is " okay ", nothing more than that and that's why he was scratched in favour of Connor Clifton at some point.

But yeah, you said, it's your opinion and alright

Holy hell. Clifton and Moore play different positions. Cassidy hates playing d men on their off side. He basically only did that once willingly, game 7.

Are you a bruins fan or a troll? I’m really not sure.
