Same framework as the Muzzin trade (draft pick and two prospects). 2nd round pick instead of 1st since Martinez isn't quite as good as Muzzin.

Really good idea and insight, as usual. If I had thought of this (and I should have), I would have picked Kral as the Reserve List selection. Your idea is better.

I don't think Martinez is going to be difference maker.(nor Pietrangelo) you can go down the list of all NHL Dmen. Start fresh next season. Only question whether the Leaf get their first pick in 2019 (top 10 protected) or lose in it 2021. Not that I think Bracco or Kokkennen will ever be NHLers

I don't foresee the Kings trading Clifford.

I dont see that either, but I believe Leafs would inquire about Clifford since Dubas was his agent back in the day and knows him well and he could certainly help this team.

Leafs decline then, dont view Martinez as that much of difference maker to give up Rasanen or Kokkonen.

Kings will resign Clifford. He is still somewhat young and a great 4th liner for the Kings. He has adapted to the way the game has changed very well.

I think the Kings would be happy to take Ceci if the other trade parameters stayed the same.
