Crazy how this guy has gone from being a cap dump in the summer (You know I'm telling the truth) to being worth a first-round pick. Tells you a lot about how much his linemates matter.

@csick Dylan Strome > Ryan Strome, please @ me.

Both of them have talent but really aren't good skaters. They need top level linemates to be effective.

Which family would be more dominant playing in a 3 on 3 tournament?

The Stromes

The Reinharts

or the Staals (but Jared has to play in the place of Eric or Jordan who presumably have better things to do)

Necas > Toews

One day he might, I like both players and both teams so I'm just as excited for Necas as I would be for Nylander for example.

Strome before this season avg out to a 38pt player....this year he's on pace for 82pts. When your production jumps over 200% from your career average, red flags go up for me lol.

(D) Strome's skating ability, or lack thereof, has been extremely exaggerated. As you said, he can't carry a line... but he can elevate other good players.

He will be a good tier 2nd line center for the future. I think (R) Strome is a great 3rd line center, just having a career year.

Ryan Strome is off to a fast start I bet you if he stays in his position for the whole year he'll still get less than 50 points. Its just like Neal in Edmonton. Oiler fans thought they were getting a 40 goal scorer after his start and he's scored what 1 goal in his past almost 20 games. Small sample sizes can sometimes mean nothing.

I mean yes of course Panarin is totally driving Strome's play. But weirdly, you don't see that echoed in Jesper Fast's numbers who is also on that line so that argument starts to weaken... that Strome is entirely just a passenger here.

I think probably the more accurate argument to be made is that nobody puts up offense in Edmonton if you're not on PP1 or the top line...(aka with McD).

Imo i would like to give him a shot in Calgary. I dont think hes worth a first, like mentioned above, his jump in production when playing with a star like Panarin raises some question marks. But i think he would be able to do similar things with Tkachuk. I think a 2nd, a solid prospect and some cap going the other way would be my offer

can't compare strome with neil because neil is only known as being a goal scorer and goal scoring is streaky. strome plays a solid 2 way game. strome is good on the pk and plays a solid defensive game.

He is a below average skater who need elite talent to not be a waste of a roster spot. In Edmonton when he was asked to anchor the 3rd line, he was terrible. He's just a depth player, this is just a heater.

good points. strome had 50 points his rookie season. if kakko gets 50 most ranger fans wouldn't complain. strome had some average scoring season but they were just watched with a microscope because he was the 4th pick and was traded for someone who scored more points then him after the trade. strome never been a bad player, it was assumed that by many fans because people expect a lot from a 4th pick.

he stats were bad in edmonton but he wasn't a bad player. a depth player is someone playing the 13th forward or 7th defense. if you're saying that's what he is then obviously i disagree with you. of course strome isn't a first line player or a point per game guy. his time with the islanders and rangers he showed he is a solid middle 6 forward. edmonton was a mess the season he was traded to the rangers. it's not all his fault.

seriously, have you watch the games this season? strome been very good. he wasn't on the top line all season. he spent a bunch of games with kreider and he still did well while kreider looked horrible.

Strome's skating limits his effectiveness, I wouldn't want him for that reason alone.
