It was clear that Comrie wasn't going to be getting reps in Arizona, and they didn't want to put him back on waivers. This move gives them another really nice option down in Tucson, and gives them a scary good defense when Ness comes back down.

Comrie's salary jumps to 700k... so it depends how well Comrie develops. Saarijarvi has to be resigned.

Well at least Detroit got the One-Game Wonder,Comrie. Arizona probably won because they didn't need to put Comrie on waivers and they get Saarijarvi
