Calgary shouldn’t be making that Columbus trade. Though Columbus would jump all over it. P

Still just 25, Monahan goes back home to junior hockey town. Ott gets a really good C and Calgary unites Tkachuk brothers.
Anaheim has always had interest in Bennett, Kase gives Calgary some skill. Change of scenery for both guys.
CBJ can use some C help and get the more skilled player. Anderson gives Calgary size in the bottom six.

The least realistic is likely the Larkin-Gaudreau swap. But both are struggling and Gaudreau I think at this point wants to play closer to home. Larkin is 23, Gaudreau 26 so both in their prime. Yzerman isn't afraid of using small forwards with his history in Tampa. Larkin gives Calgary top 6 more speed and size, Gaudreau gives Det additional skill.

If Hall sings here for that amount great, if not you move M.Tkachuk back to LW and promote Mangipanne (Whos already part of that line) or Anderson.

What do you guys think?

Wings pass. Larkinn is probably a number 2 center but being hometown boy and fans like him. Larkin is having an off season but Wings have little talent, whereas Flames have more but Johnni G is having off season. Plus Larkin is younger.

Do you really think Detroit is trading their local boy 1C for that whiny runt who's contract is expiring way sooner then Larkin's deal is? Give your head a shake man, it isn't happening!

Ottawa easily declines and Anaheim declines, the only possible trade here is the Columbus one but even then I doubt the Jackets want to take on Backlund's contract considering he's on the other side of 30, doesn't seem like he'd fit with where the Jackets are going whereas Anderson might rebound so I'm thinking they'd decline too.

You are correct that Detroit trade isn't very likely happen. Larkin is the cornerstone of Detroit's rebuild.

Detroit says Hell No, There's already tons of speculation that Johnny Gaudreau is planning on going home to Philly once his deal is done with Calgary.

I’m honestly okay with that Kase trade. Add a 2nd or 3rd round pick and it’s a done deal.
