Leafs prospect, russian.. is doing very well in Kazan in KHL and is becoming very good two-way centerman

Simmonds got a 1 year $5 million dollar contract this year, highly doubt he signs for league minimum next year.

Can't see NJ retaining that much money, even though getting rid of Subban would be good. Just not ideal to pay him $9M for two years without playing in the team...

The answer is, nothing, Sure, potentially he could become a Mikheyev type who comes over late, but it's also much much more likely he becomes nothing. So that's what his value is.

If you want to make an NJ trade, go after Severson.
