Buffalo doesnt need to shed cap you wont get retention on him for a 6th

I like it. NYI needs to make a move to improve and they have a decent stock pile of young players that are only getting older and less valuable

Regardless of if he asked for a trade or not, hes still an NHL caliber player playing in the NHL (unlike Andersson, Ho-Sang or Pulujarvi) and is still worth more than a 6th without retention

Not really, when he’s scratched often in Buffalo. And they have no leverage since he publicly requested the trade. If none of that had happened though, I’d agree with you

Love these deals. Don't think we need Buffalo to retain on Rodrigues, but Zucker would be amazing here.
