Yeah, geo isn't Freddy you fool. He is Bernier. And there isn't a valid argument otherwise. And even then, a player like kapanen is more valuable than a pick because of a known value

No word on Freddy yet. Personally I don’t think it looked that bad. If it’s a couple of games you go with hutch. If it’s more you go get any goalie but Georgiev because his price is laughable.

Okay, still didn't excuse the overpay

Do you think Kapanen is good?

Bernier played on an elite defensive team Georgiev faces 30+ shots a game regularly. If he wasn’t there we’d have 5-7 less wins

Feel free to look up his gsax. It isn't that impressive.

Hes got average gsaa numbers meaning hes hes preforming exactly as he should be and not facing extremely high quality chances like people think he is

He would be a 2nd liner on half the NHL's rosters.

Having 3 goalies On a roster eliminates all leverage nyr has, and the goalie market has always been cheap. Andersen was basically a starter when we got him and it cost the 30th ovr and a 2nd (and that was considered expensive).

Hell a reporter at the athletic literally asked GM's about a geo trade and he basically said word for word what I said on you deluding yourselves into thinking he has more value that that

Kapanen is an easily replaceable 3rd line winger with a 2nd line ceiling. Georgiev is a 1B already and potential to be a solid #1 goalie. In what world does a team trade a potential #1 goalie for a potential 2nd line winger. It's ridiculous how much Leafs fans think Kapanen is worth.

Playing on a bottom 10 team
I hate GAA. It’s more of a team stat
I know his save percentage isn’t the greatest but remember he’s playing on a slightly less than mediocre team

There is a huge difference between GAA and GSAA. They arent even in the same ball park

It's amazing that you think geo is worth much at all. Bernier was in essentially the same situation and cost Frattin, 2nd, and Scrivens.

And in kappys value, you are way off.

Amazing you mock our valuation when yours Is ****

I'd hope so since TOR is my 2nd favorite team, but honestly I wouldn't trust him for that long

I hope its just a minor precaution. Hutchinson has played well, he'll be fine for a little bit, plus he's going to get a lot of run support.

Redwings... super elite D (yes I know you meant LA) I would take over Georgiev right now. No way leafs panic with a stupid move like this.

And that's EXACTLY the value I sent. Man you're delusional. Kapanen is 23. he won't get much better that what he currently is.

With more opportunity, he absolutely good get better results. He gets 3rd line minutes in TO. Put him with a fast play maker and Kap could be a 30 goal scorer and 60 point player. He just will never get above 3rd line in TO because he can't play his off wing and Nylander and Marner are both incredible players.

What is the obsession with Georgiev? He's not good. He has a -2.51GSAA.

where are you getting this stat from? genuinely curious since corsica has him at +6.72 GSAA and +0.98 dSV% on the year

It is a running total
Freddy was 5th in the league until 2 weeks before the asg when he forgot how to stop a puck and let in 5 goals on 1 xg literally every game. Unless you have a explanation like that for geo, **** off.

As if the Rangers have any leverage themselves?
And honestly, while I don't trust hutch in a playoff setting I would trust our offence to cover enough to get us there, and Freddy should be back by then even in a worse case scenario

I'm speaking in general. Whether its Georgiev, Crawford, Anderson or whoever the target as potential options.

Also there is a substantial difference between trusting Hutch in a very limited backup role, and trusting him to fill in for Andersen for any significant amount of time. Even if it's only a couple of weeks, this is still a critical time in the season, and Toronto cannot afford to bet the season on Michael Hutchinson.

wow ok calm down dude

Georgiev has average NHL stats and hes only 23, you're making it seem like he's the worst goalie in the league. As a 23 year old goalie I bet he will improve over time as well

Is Corsica still working? I thought it went down. I'm getting it from Natural Stat Trick.

I did get the number wrong though. He has a -1.16 5v5 GSAA and +3.11 All Situation GSAA. So he isn't terrible, but hasn't shown anything warranting a great return. At BEST I'd give up a 3rd.
