Value is probably good but the Habs will be hard pressed to keep their 1st in the draft this year barring an absolute steal.

i actually think MTL prefers this as it helps Laval until they're ready. (MTL has put a lot of effort into growing Laval's fanbase and team )

Drouin's value is a bit higher than Nurse's but in the same loose range IMO. I think what's throwing off the trade the most is JP, whose value is an unknown. Players with question mark values don't belong in player-for-player trades.

That's naive. We thought they weren't touching the Mete-Weber pairing either. Anything can happen when a new season comes along.

Drouin isn’t the most solid defensively and is fairly inconsistent, there’s also a lot more 2nd line 50/60 point wingers in the NHL than there is guys of Nurse’s calibre at that age on defense
