I think Scandella is playing way better than Eddy was last year, especially in the playoffs

Who's going to take on that contract? Faulk has a full NTC for the next 5 years. So he has a say where and when he goes. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. No sane GM is helping Armstrong out here with Faulk.

Edmundson is having a good year in carolina, and is also a lot younger. I think they are both good options when pietrangelo inevitably leaves

I think Faulk will start to shine once Pietrangelo is gone, he will get more minutes, QB the Powerplay. I just can't see them signing Pietrangelo after this Faulk extension. Plus apparently he wants something similar to Josi

He just isn't. You can have him back yesterday. He was GARBAGE this year. Keep Faulk too, but Bokk looks like a stud. Thanks again <3

Totally agree with you, Looking pretty much like Pietrangelo's a goner. Would be curious where he might land. The only problem is that playoff contenders that he might be the most interested in. Probably wont be able to afford his asking price.

Yeah Pietrangelo in Winnipeg would be pretty sweet, They're definitely the up and coming team there in the west. Just a few decent bodies and look out.

Faulk is terrible he isn't getting any better he is only getting worse which is why I hated the trade from the beginning. He isn't very good, and he might boost the PP up a little, but still not worth 6.5M

What do we need a 2C for? We've already got Schenn, O'Reilly, and Thomas

Faulk did QB our power play for awhile this year, and he was bad at it. We put Parayko back on there and our PP2 improved.

If Pietrangelo wants the Josi deal I would do that in a heartbeat. Pietrangelo's long term projections are much more favorable that Josi's

What? All of those teams are either bad or historically non-palatable to free agents (or in the case of Ottawa, both)

Which is why he's not a goner. People say he can get 10mil on the open market, but the only teams that can actually give him that aren't contenders. The Blues are one of the best in the league and actually have the flexibility to make room for him. And can offer him an eight year deal, and the captaincy, and he already lives here.

The only team I could see that really wants him enough is Toronto, and Chris Johnston said the other day on Dangle that it doesn't seem like he has much intention of going there. I think it's likely he's just waiting so long to put pressure on the Blues to give him the most money. And I don't blame him, I'd do the same thing in his situation.

Joel Edmundson has some of the worst analytics in the league this year

Ah yes, 17 points in 45 games (a decline in what he had last year) is historically the marker of a future "stud" forward. He's a third liner, probably, unless he develops a ton more.

The Faulk trade was fine. If we hadn't given him the extension no one would be talking about it.
