That would be like me switching out Marner for Kapanen. Reinhart isn't even as good as Nylander.
Oh, just realized you're the guy who though Leafs would buy out Boychuk for over 10 million dollars to trade Johnsson for Mayfield.
Well since you want to bring up irrelevant topics lets do some fact checking if you are going to address me as "That guy who said this..." as an excuse to disregard my opinion
- First Boychuk is owed a total of 8M over the last 2 seasons of his contract, if bought out that would be 2/3 of his remaining contract over 4 years. So Toronto would owe Boychuk 5.33M (odd how that's just over half of the above stated 10M.
- Second, in 13/14 the league nixed a trade between Toronto and Tampa where Toronto would CBO Lecavalier and Tampa would resign him for less. If this trade went through Lecavalier still was owed 45M on his contract. Multiply that by 2/3 and a you get 30M.
- Third Mayfield not only fills a hole in the Leafs roster, he is cheap, has term, can play heavy minutes, and is defensively strong. Moving Johnsson for Mayfield is a win for Toronto and only an idiot would think otherwise
So tell me why Toronto has no issue spending 30m on a player not even playing for them for a couple picks yet wouldn't spend 5.33M on a player also not playing for them while upgrading their roster in the process.
Now back to the actual topic:
Is Marner better then Reinhart? Duh, Reinhart is a little below Nylander in skill
Sandin vs Jokiharju? About even in ceiling, Joker is RD and both have top pair potential.
Mittelstadt vs Kerfoot? With Kerfoot you have a bonafide 3C with Mittelstadt you have the potential of a 2C still there. Edge Mittelstadt
Kahun vs Johnsson? Every statistic says Kahun is all around better. You could argue he played with Malkin but Johnsson played with Matthews, so that goes no where.
