Edmonton says no. Anderson is coming off a really down year, he needs to get back to his former self before the shoulder surgery to get trade value back

Heck no to the EDM trade. Torts would absolutely hate AA, might as well keep the player with higher upside.

That minny trade is interesting. I want Jarmo to try and trade into the second round.

Athanasiou didn't exactly set the world on fire with 26 points in 55 games and a -46 rating... him and Anderson should cost about the same, are the same age, and over the course of their careers' have similar point/game production.

Edmonto paid two 2nds for AA. Anderson is probably worth 1 second right now. 4 points in 27 games and been hurt all year, no one is taking that risk at the moment and Columbus would be wise to wait and see if he recovers. Anderson has more upside but at this moment AA holds more trade value.

Wild pass. Wennberg isn't a big upgrade over Rask and he is more expensive plus a longer contract.
Wild don't need Harrington so there is no reason to hand over the picks.

You forgot Gagner who has the same amount of goals in 3 less games since the trade!

What NHL level LD does Minnesota have signed beyond this year behind Suter and Brodin? Assuming Broding isn't traded...

Not sure they want to sign Brodin yet I suspect there will be a agreement in place that will be signed after the expansion draft, so they will have no need to protect him.
I know there is no guarantee of ever re-signing a FA but the Wild have the cap space and the players have the familiarity with the Wild that I suspect re-signing Soucy and Brodin won't be a problem. If the Wild were to lose one the Wild have 2 NHL ready defenseman in the AHL and I think Addison is far off.

Neither of these trades are very good. Columbus bailed only the AA traded at the deadline because he didn’t fit torts system and, yes Columbus is moving more salary to Minnesota but Rask isn’t anything more then a 4th liner and we have plenty of those. Wennbergs buyout is less then 500k so he’s cheaper to get rid of that way then to take a bad contract back.

As you’d your offensive lines they are completely messed up. Bremstrom isn’t a center. With this team the lines would most likely be;
Texier- PLD- Bjorkstrand
Nyquist- AA- Atkinson
Folingo- Jenner- Bremstrom
Robinson/Grebe- Rask- Nash

I’d also switch Gavrikov and Murray on defence.

Overall not a bad idea, just not going to happen as Columbus backed out of a trade with Detroit for AA at the deadline.
