When can we acknowledge the fact Liligren isn’t that great of a prospect anymore?

leafs are the richest organization in the NHL along with the rangers and Canadians they can afford it. But I just don't see Florida giving up on bobrosky yet so there is need to

They could sign him again for cheap

Yeah I agree so what would be your main offer if say dubas decided **** the future our time is now

The most I’d give up is sandin, lilgeren, and a 1st

Sandin and Robertson would be tough to give up, but that could be what it would take.

He is only 21 so he is still developing. If he was 25 I would agree as that's when u give up on them. Some defenseman are late bloomers and liligren is one of them. He has improved tremendously with the marlies and given time will become an amazing top 4 on the leafs.

He's definitely going to be an NHLer but more of a bottom 4 than top 4 guys for sure

So they can just pull 58,500,000 out of there pockets to help out Florida? Get some common sense. That's almost the annual cost of Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Reilly, and Freddy put together...

I was thinking Abramov + liligren + kapenan with a 1st. Abramov is 2nd behind Robertson on the prospect pool and could become an amazing center for the Panthers. Kapenan could become a top 6 rw and replace dadonov or Hoffman should the rumored 10 mill reduction be true. And liligren should become a future top 4 rhd on the team. Overall though I just don't know if it's worth in the long run

If it meant they could pull off that trade, MLSE would agree to it, Leafs winning a cup would make them that much easily with all of Toronto buying jerseys/sweaters etc

I’m sure florida would prefer a trade out of conference and a bidding war, I still think Vegas might get creative pre expansion draft being exempt, they are getting rather close to cap though

I don’t think Florida would entertain a trade without one of sandin/Robertson

Yeah you don’t want to give up too much - isles made some terrible trades in the late 90s , early 2000s that cost them. Traded chara and the pick that became Jason Spezza for Alexei yashin

Leafs did to (Kessel) but then again through hockey logic we would have never got Matthews without getting Kessel. Funny how that works

Because the owners are defensively going to pay roughly 140M in one year and make it all back in jerseys and sweaters.... You guys have absolutely zero common sense and lack understanding of the concept of business.

Clearly don't understand hockey business. if the Panthers went to Dubas and offered him a some picks or prospects to cbo bobrosky Dubas would immediately agree. The Leafs organization would not mind paying that money as they would be getting value out of it as they could use the prospects or picks in trades with other teams or use them to better improve the team.

Agreed. If a player of ekblads status is available almost every team will give Florida a call. The leafs would have to outbid all these other teams

Where are you getting 140M from now? I said the 58M of Bobs contract fool. A million people in the GTA buying shirts/sweaters/jerseys during a cup run is 100% possible and between $200 jerseys, $80 sweaters, and $30-40 tshirts, they'd easily make $60M. Imagine saying has no common sense when you have none yourself. Keep telling yourself you understand business while you have time to make 5000 posts on ACGM

Hey Boss, it's me Dubas, mind paying 58.5M for this goalie Florida wants me to CBO for a 1st round pick that'll probably never turn into anything. It's only 58.5M. I realize that increases your payroll to roughly 140M this year, but it makes TOTAL sense!

I can't believe people this dumb exist on this site and they always seem to be Leafs fans.

Honestly for all it's worth I would rather just let sandin, liligren, Abramov, and Robertson to continue to develop as one day those players could impact the team in a big way.

Um, how many players are on the Leafs and how much are they making? Add 58.5M to that...
