The Sabres trade is very interesting, I hate the idea of getting Bjugstad. But getting Matt Murray would be great, as a 1B to Linus Ullmark.

Buffalo certainly isn't adding picks. Bstad has negative value and Murray hasn't been a starter for over a season now. Montour for Murray is pretty fair imo and to take Bstad off your hands I want a 3rd

Murray hasn’t been a starter for over a year? That’s just flat out wrong

Murray is a starting goalie but he gets way to much heat because he was protected over Fleury, just had a down year. Would be a good add for the Sabres.

This is true, and the same can be said for Montour. His numbers this last year were much lower then his career average. I wouldn't want to add much for bujgstad at this stage of his career, maybe drop the 21 2nd.

This looks promising. I do think Murray has more value and Bjugstad won't cost anything to move though.

they can't do that to the 3rd pairing, they don't have 5+ million to dump into it.

Little cap raise and dumping Hornqvist isn't going to clear enough cap space for next year at all.
They need appropriately paid 3rd pairing defense.

Not for that cost. Murray had a .899 save percentage on one of the best teams in the league this season. Those are bad numbers

He had a .899 save % with Chad Ruhwedel, Jack Johnson, and Jusso Riikola playing in the top 4 when Letang, Dumoulin, Schultz, and Marino were out

Looks good, probably don't even need Hutton. Riikola's underlying numbers this year was great, he's certainly good enough be a #6 or 7 in POJ makes the team
