CBJ decline they need a legit top 6 center to play behind Dubois. Dubinsky also has a full NMC so he decides where he wants to go.

CLB doesn't see Jenner as a 2C?

Nope, he plays a 3C checking role.

Wild say no. We need centers and Toronto doesn't have one they'd be willing to give up that's worth moving Brodin or Dumba for. There's not a trade to be made between the Wild and the Leafs unless Nylander is on the table and news flash he's not.

Severe overpay for one year of Brodin. Why do folks think Minni have all these great Dmen, and the Leafs have to give up so much to acquire them.

Jets decline. Copp is more important than dermott would be. Anyway, we can just sign a guy like dermott in edmundson or Dillon (if he would be willing to come to the peg) instead of wasting assets for him

in what world is that a Severe overpay? Brodin is a shut down top pairing LHD. leafs have no need for him obviously since they need a Right shot, but the value is fine

He's standing in at that role, but that's not the long-term ideal.

I want to believe that Kapanen + pick gets Brodin, but the conversation starts at Kap and what? Is a second enough? The fifth was the going price for $1.1m retained at the deadline. And everyone thinks the Leafs need a RH Dee because that is all Babdick chirped. The Leafs need a Top 4 Dee, and with what is available via trade it's hard to limit to a right handed shot. Brodin brings more value to this team short term than Josh Manson....

I have multiple times. He was given opportunities early in his career and last season when Matthew's was injured. I liked his game at center

It was like 7 games back in 2018 when the Leafs centre depth was Matthews, Kadri, & Bozak. It was as much out of necessity. Nylander is not a C at the NHL Level or the Leafs wouldn't have spent $11m on JT. That being said, Minnesota would have to start at Dumba & Eriksson Ek to even start a Nylander conversation.

Sure but he played about 10 games there last season. Look, I've seen him play center enough to like him there in the NHL. You don't have to agree with me, I'm not asking you to, but that's my opinion and I'm entitled to that.

Value is a whole different conversation.

Have an opinion, nobody is stopping you. I have found that this site is valuable to gain perspective from other fans' POV. Just saying, a life long Leaf fan that studies the league and my team. Haven;t missed watching a game since the tank season...Take that for what it is...
