It’s amazing how often people attempt to trade for JP but deny him of having real value.

OTT trade has a problem. Why did Leafs have to pay 1st to get rid of Marleau, but NJ could ship multiyear cap dump in Schneider for no cost?

It'll cost them at least a 1st rounder for OTT to take bait. Might as well just buy him out.

I stopped after the Schneider to Ottawa trade. Did it get any better???

Going to take at least a 1st, probably more to move Schneider. Ottawa is a bad fit as they have two NHL goalies, and aren't likely to pay a guy sit or play in the Minors.

Haha won’t get that far someone will bite or holland will get him to come back. Tampa did this with drouin. Difference here being JP is playing during this hold out and putting up a point per game.

Difference being that Drouin did NOT decline from playing with TB. He just didn't want to go to AHL.

Pulju has explicitly said that he won't play for EDM.

If truly any team was to pay a premium price for Pulju, EDM would've traded him a long ago. Sadly, no team will take the risk.

Holland wasn’t going to move him last summer because he isn’t the type to make a rash or rushed decision after just inheriting a mess. Holland stated publicly his intentions are first to bring JP back after he has some time away. Even tho that seems unlikely definitely would not rule out given the team has had more success and clearly not being ran the same way anymore. If a deal comes it’s not happening until draft JP isn’t in North America so it’s unlikely to see that trade happen during season or at deadline it’s not really in anyone’s interest to do it then. So in all reality I don’t think there’s been a real chance to shop him yet.

You missed some howlers, the best of which in my humble opinion was a truly suicidal two-step involving Marian Hossa.

Trading for Hossa in order to use him to offset a cap overage by putting him on the LTIR, and then burying him in the AHL instead.

Check w me in a year! Goose and Palmieri both would have one year left so depending on how the season goes...but I dont think ANYONE on this team (but Jack & Nico) are untouchable.
