I like the idea of trying to get Ehlers but this is not going to do it. To get him away from the peg you are going to have to overpay. Then you have to ask yourself is he worth overpaying for? Probably yes to a point but where is that point. Domi is certainly a good start. I'm guessing you are thinking of Perreault as a cap dump? I'm not sure Jets fans see it as that. We have plenty of bottom 6 guys I don't think we need to include him. So the question becomes what do you need to add.
Domi + Ylonen + 2020 2nd (Chi) or
Domi + Fluery + 2020 2nd (Chi)

We all know Perreau as a negative effect (so forget is value)

Elhers is not miles away ahead of Domi... just 10-15% more value.
I don't take Domi value when he scored 70pts- stellar year (something that Elhers never did) but 50-60pts is fair.
Ehlers had is own issue with 37pts in 62 game last year... but we can forget about this fact as well.
Chariot would HELP big time MOrrisey as a second LHD because none of Beaulieu, Dahlstrom, Bitetto can take 25min p.g.

Did you ****ing watch 1 single game of the Hawks ? He is garbage in the neutral and defensive zone, ridiculous. But he surprise me in the offensive zone, the best is he play 3rd pairing and get some first PP unit time, but he needs a good stay at home dman with him on the third pairing. Juulsen could be ideal IF he’s 100% healthy. I wont risk the gamble, and that contract is horrendous, maybe 2M for 2 years but again I rather have a dman who can play D

Because they want to keep the Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler line, they need a 2C for Ehlers and Laine. They won’t trade one of their top6 forward to get another one. Chiarot would be great for them, but MTL can’t lose Chiarot right now
