Well if were being entirely accurate, dumba is lik 10th on the list, benning is in the 30s, they dont need him but they just need dumba less

I like the idea of adding Bonino but thats a bit expensive for a rental. I feel Nashville would be fine trading for just kerfoot as for 1 his contract is cheaper and has a longer term and 2 he is younger and could do well on the team

why not go for the more defensive Wild dman in Jonas Brodin? Since your team does need defense it makes more sense imo.

well the salary is the main reason he's SO low. They dont need another offensive no defence defender though, especially at the cost of assets

Brodin would be fantastic, plays the wrong side, and he's only got one year till UFA, but if the price was right id be all over that. 100000x more than Dumba

Honestly, I think you are a) off on your Leaf trade values and b) wasting assets as part of these days. While I know a lot of Flyers fan may disagee with me, in my opinion, Kapanen + Dermott gets the Leafs Laughton and Myers, which are both better fits for this Leafs team then Dumba and Bonino. Plus, if the Leafs were to deal with Nashville, I think their target is Colton Scissons. Regardless, I have a hard time believing the Leafs would be willing to spend so much to get so little (Bonino is basically a 1-year rental) or a guy that lacks a defensive game, and he's a defenseman (Dumba).

Kapanen and Dermot combined make 5m, Dumba 6m. Certainly the Leafs aren't that RHD fanatical to acquire Dumba for two NHL regulars, who has less cap and give up a top pick too.

Why do the Leafs need defence much more than most other teams? It's kinda a CapFriendly theme...all Leafs Dmen are bad and overpaying for other teams players is the only solution.
