Larkin for Cozens 2020 1st and 2021 1st?

Would Det bite on that?

I want to say Arizona accepts, but I could be wrong. They have a starter, and Raanta is injury prone and if they move him they get a pick.

I think that your Calgary, Arizona and San Jose trades are right on value. Valimaki has 24 games in the NHL of no particular distinction and hasn't played organized hockey in more than a year after a serious injury, so Buffalo would be taking a chance on him. Arizona has serious cap problems even if they DON'T sign Taylor Hall and with their draft chart, would JUMP at the 38th overall pick in this draft.

Pilut is leaving to play in the KHL and almost certainly won't even be given a qualifying offer... no point in any team trading anything for him.

Based off what exactly? He is 21, just 24 games of NHL experience and 3 points. Coming off a season-ending (heck it didn't even start for him) knee surgery. He is a highly touted prospect yes but he hasn't proven anything in the big time. Montour has.

Cozens holds much more value and hence why he is included.

Probably not, Larkin isn't being traded. But value wise, yes I believe you are correct

Of course they would. They need cap space if they want to resign Hall, which after what they gave up for him they better keep him. They got Adin Hill to backup for Kuemper

I always appreciate your level-headedness. Not enough people like you on this site.

His KHL contract probably has an NHL out clause. He was doing very well in the A and would be a great add for a team that would give him ice time

Since the pick is a 2022, it could be conditional on playing x number of games in 2020-2021 and/or 2021-2022; could even elevate to a fourth if he plays x + x games in the two years. Trading him to the right team might even encourage him to come back to the US.

As far as I am aware, if Buffalo doesn't qualify him (which is very likely), he becomes a UFA... Likely doesn't have an NHL out clause as he wanted to leave.
