Something a little different

Description
If Montreal looses to Pittsburgh in the play in round, they draft two of Perfetti, Holtz, Rossi, Sanderson.
I’m one of the Habs fans that don’t see Domi as a long term fit in Montreal and if we can move him for the return below than I would do it.
I hate to move Lehkonen but I do think that there will only be room for one of him and Armia and I believe that Armia is a much more useful player for Montreal going forward due to his better offense. Also moving Lehkonen for the pieces below (Take advantage of the Bolts situation) would be a best case for the Habs.
I also think that Josh Anderson is a player that we should target. I get it he has had some injury issues but he is the type of player that Montreal needs, a bigger body power forward. If he does rebound he will make upcoming decisions on our UFA’s a little more interesting due to more options.

That seems like a fair BUF deal... Except Id switch the CHI 2nd with STLs one. We are trading an established 2C for a prospect... Sanderson and Raymond would be my first choices and if not, replace any of them with Perfetti and or Rossi

Ok... how do you figure? They will need to do something to create cap space.

You are in Cap Hell, and almost your entire team has NTC's. Every GM in the league knows this and nobody in this flat cap era is going to be willing to take on 30 year old high cap hit guys. I feel this is a fair offer and would be something that Tampa would look at especially with Lehkonen heading back. So I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

Columbus will get better offers then that for Anderson. We also have no reason to trade him right now at his lowest value.

Also doubtful that he takes a 3 year contract. You’d be lucky to get 2 from him.

All of these move could work the only one I am not crazy about is the Tampa one not cause of value but more because we lose both Lehky and cap space

I would be happier with two anyway to be honest, just incase he continues to have injury problems. He is just a place holder for us anyway. If that trade didn't happen I'm not heartbroken. I just like his size and style. We need more of that.

I hate moving Lehkonen too, really like his game, but just hasn't been able to find the offense we need from him. I see Killorn filling Tatars spot for the next couple years.

I see Domi Drouin for the LW, Lehkonen is perfect on that 3LW. For real who cares if he doesn't bring 20+ goals, he have a strong game, maybe one day he will stop missing those empty net lol

Yeah I'm just not sold on Domi as a winger.

that's why will sign him to a 1 year deal and we'll see if he's good on the wing, if not, trade him next summer to a team who needs a 1C/2C Center

For a top 10 pick in a strong draft, I would be willing to move him now. Just my opinion. I know he Domi has many Habs fans that love him. I'm just not one of them.

Let's say we trade Domi, that's a huge step back. Domi is one if not the player who creates the more in the offensive zone. I know Tatar-Danault-Gallagher line are better but if you trade Domi it creates a hole on the 2nd line. Maybe sign Kovy so he can play with Suzuki, but still, step back.

Even with 30 general manager knowing full well that Tampa's in trouble, their fanbase still think they can create something out of thin air and actually receive full value back in trades.
