Domi is not worth the 7th overall pick.

Just because one mindless fan on our side thinks its a fair doesn't validate the actual value.

Domi for the 7th OA is pretty close to fair value

not even remotely. he had 44 points and obviously doesn't play good out of MTL.

I actually disagree a 2nd line center who can put up 60-80 points probably gets you a bit more plus his style of play is similar to Gallagher's which coaches, GM's and fans love.

Playing with a 3rd liner and a 13th forward, pretty good

I suppose you just looked at this year's stats too right! He was not playing Center most of this year. Look at last year his only NHL season as a 2 center 72 points. As a Center he takes control of the game and drives his line

We have too many Centers and need help elsewhere he would get the best return this year outside of Danault who isn't going anywhere! You don't have to like him but you should at least acknowledge his value rather than being closed minded and biased

Cause Suzuki out played him so Domi was moved to the wing until KK went down with an injury and Domi played 3rd line Center with Lehkonen and Weal for the rest of the season and still put up 44 points

Yeah it’s not us adding mitts. The 2nd might be too high, but hey if they’d take it I’d 100% do it.

Are you kidding or have you just not been following the thread? A top 2 center that is stuck as a third liner in our organization due to CJ and MB seeing Danault and Suzuki as our top 2 centers this year. Also KK is seen as the Habs number 1 Center in 2 years by MB and CJ if he continues to develop. Domi either has to play wing for us or be traded. He has already stated that he wants to play center and that he is better suited at center. Last season he had a 72 point career high playing 2nd line center. Then followed it up with a 44 point season playing 3rd line C with a 3rd line winger and a 13th forward. He is exactly the type of player someone would trade 3-5 OVA + as prospect for especially when you consider last year was his first year playing C in the NHL and still managed 72 points.

so he's 25 and can't crack montreal's (24th in the league) top 2 center spots and you think someone is going to give 7th overall for him? not a chance.

OMG you are focusing on the wrong issues! Talking to you is frustrating cause it's like trying to reason with a 2 year old. IF CJ wasn't an idiot and played Danault where and Suzuki in their proper positions (Suzuki 1 or 2 Danault #3) Domi would have been the Habs 1 or 2 Center this year. But CJ overvalues Danault too much to play him that far down the lineup. Thus Domi was moved to the wing and then 3rd line center. Not because he doesn't have the skill or the hockey sense to play 2 center but because CJ is doesn't comprehend that Danault is a 3C or 2C fill in at best.

Domi is not worth a top 10 pick, let alone a top 10 pick and a top prospect.

Think what you want but read almost any trade offer thread involving Domi even fans of other teams think it's fair value

i understand all that. you're not listening. you're asking for the 7th overall pick. if you making that ask you have to have a player that is undisputed top 6 on a 24th place team, even if the head coach likes the two-way player more. domi isn't talented enough for the 7th overall. offer suzuki instead.

We are also talking about trading a top 6 player on any team being traded within the division! The ask could be way more than that just because it is a divisional rival who we already fight with year after year for a playoff spot and we will be making their chances of winning a playoff spot better. Of course the ask will be 7th OVA + a great prospect or 2nd round pick
