LA I understand, but why would WPG and CGY say no. These are great salary dump moves for them.

Stop trading RD to Detroit, We're set at RD Miller would be on the bottom pairing. Too much money for a bottom pairing RD Detroit declines.

I actually think the value is there but the Kings don't do it, they have really taken their time with Vilardi and Anderson who are prepped to be big parts of the future.

Detroit and LA are rebuilding. There’s no way they would even think about doing that. In my opinion your way overvaluing Ristolainen. Calgary and New York Rangers accept though.

WPG --> Risto won't return a 1st and Perrault won't require a 1st to dump
CGY --> Ryan is worth more than a 7th -- and they could even retain on him since he only has 1 year left for a better return if they want to deal him. But for a team already in need of centers, I don't see CGY trading him.

Everyone knows that the best way to get a good return on Risto would be trade him to Edmonton. Probably for Lafreniere

For the 42303258009th time, Detroit won't trade draft picks for players that don't fit into our future plans.

Winnipeg has a lot of cap space and Risto is not worth a 1st, furthermore, Perreault is not a cap dump and doesnt need a 1st attached to him.

Ryan is a well liked and fantastic bottom 6 center, he is far from a cap dump

Jets don't need to salary dump. With Buf's contract off the books and the potential of a Little retirement, they might as well hold onto Matty P. Plus giving up a first doesn't make much sense IMO
I think the jets might be in a position to take on salary with a prospect/draft pick kicker

Jokiharju would be first pairing with this defense core. Kahun, Johannson and Vilardi all in the top 6. That needs some fixing. Where is Cozens??

Ryan is an incredibly serviceable player. One of the better bottom 6 C’s in the league and can fill in top 6 in a pinch. Amazing on the PK pretty much everything you could hope for in a bottom 6C. Flames don’t need / want to trade him. If they did he would fetch a lot more than a 7th rounder

Agreed!!! Doc is the ultimate swiss army knife player - can play center or RW, averaging just shy of 40 points / yr on a reasonable contract that expires after next season - WTF would that be considered a cap dump?
