Believe me, as a fan of a team who hasn't had a true 1st line center for the 20 years they've existed, you don't want to trade Matthews.

Matthews is by far our best player and its not really close. Best defensive center, best goal scorer, most clutch, primary assist or goal on 3 of the 4 for the comeback last night. He's using his body now, throwing some hits, the guy does it all, and it goes so unnoticed. Leafs would be utterly foolish to trade him for anyone not named Connor McDavid or Nathan Mackinnon given his age and his abilities.

As a NJD fan, I would take that deal. We need some young dmen and we’d take a chance on Bracco
