marner was and has been really good in that series. nylander looked lost tonight but that’s because keefe tried to play him at center all game but he looked good in other games. neither of them are going anywhere. we got screwed by barrie getting injured and muzzin already out. we also can’t play that “super line” all game.

The game winning goal was a fluke off Barrie’s stick. I thought Toronto was much tighter than they were defensively. Shots and scoring chances favoured the leafs heavily. Some great goaltending on the other side and some missed opportunities.

idk why anyone would expect the leafs to walk away with that series. columbus is one of the best defensive teams in the league. columbus can manage to shut down other teams offence and still put up some offence to win. they are a good team.

Couple of those early chances go in and it’s a different game. It looked like a pp with the big line out. But korpisalo was up to the task and when he wasn’t the puck wasn’t bouncing our way.

One of the major issues tonight I saw was the bottom 6 not contributing. Mikheyev didn’t look good at all in the entire series. Was nice to see Johnsson back, short lived as that was lol.

I agree. Like I said before the leafs are no different than the 2010 capitals. They are easy to defend and have no clue how to win. They aren’t committed to winning. Winning isn’t easy. It actually sucks and it’s hard work. I watched the capitals struggle to evolve but they finally did. Once They figure it out they’ll be a dangerous team.

Matthews marner and Tavares were all great tonight. Nylander was kinda meh but that’s his play style. I’ve learned that it has nothing to do with his effort.

Capitals lost more cups to win the rangers. We played the King in his prime. Block shots keep them to the outside. Keep the shots to the outside and defend the house easy win.

all these people saying marner needs to go meanwhile he’s been a top 3 player on the leafs for the whole series. he’s created chances, took shots, back checked, played D, he’s even thrown the body. Marner has proved to be a top 5 RW in the nhl in my opinion.

I don’t think any of the big 4 are moving. Personally I think it was a mistake to not have Sandin in. Leafs certainly haven’t had much luck with keeping muzzin healthy.
