You want Eichel and you want them to retain on Okposo? They are already taking a bigger salary from you in Marner. I wouldn’t trade Eichel for Matthews, do you think we’d trade him for Marner?

Okposo's contract still sucks badly even with retention. 3M overpay even with 1.5M retained. Marner is only 1M overpaid.

Why would you want Eichel? Another center When you have matthews and tavares.. I would target Dahlin for Matthews

Guessing that Matthews might leave after his contract you can sign Dahlin for 8 years

theya re in the same tier but matthews has the edge, matthews is better on d and has better stats, please dont use the teammates argument as a cop out

Matthews has more goals, more points, better production at 5 on 5, better face off percentage, less giveaways and is better on the eye test too.

i literally hate doing this but how can you not use the better teammates argument? i’m currently reading “stat shot” (unreal book i highly recommend it) and all stats are improved when teammates are improved. the better teammates argument is backed by an unreal set of data.

Rielly was injured. Eichel was playing with Dahlin and Risto.

Olofsson and Reinhart vs Nylander and Hyman

It's not like he was playing with what McDavid is playing with in Edmonton.
