Description
It's a crazy idea... or is it? Essentially lose Marner and Nylander for Lafrenniere and Pietrangelo. Would be pure wizardry.

Completely revamp the D and add a bit of toughness up front.

Having 3 players make 10+ is okay, as long as they're not all forwards. I'd rather move Tavares than Marner but JT has a full nmv so it ain't happening.

Kass has a tough play in but I don’t think holland is looking to move him before the extension he signed him to kicks in.

New York would be no where near cap compliant is what I believe he’s getting at. An ELC for almost 18 mil in cap.

Ah, a snappy response! Take a second and follow me through this exercise...I'm no mathematician, but:

NYR: 2020-2021 current: $68,033,133 with 16 players signed.

They add: Marner ($10.893)+Nylander ($6.962)

Updated total: $85.88 mil w/ 18 players signed.

Still left to be signed: DeAngelo, Georgiev, Strome and whoever else they want to fill their roster with.
