If you want Klefbom you will need to actually offer something worth while.

You don’t trade arguably your best LHD on an amazing contract for a second line RW

Edmonton can get better offers elsewhere. If Buchnevich is the best roster player you're offering, you better add an earlier draft pick (or two) and probably a good prospect as well. May sound like an over-pay, but Klef's contract is exceptional value and moving him guts Edmonton's blue line.

Friedge thinks they might move him. Nurse Jones and Broberg on the way. Changes are going to happen and I wouldn't call it off so soon. Buch could play with Connor. Unless you think Kassian is really the guy. Just throwing it out there

You aren't getting more than that for him anywhere and it sounds like they're moving on. And its a seventh but okay leave it out

Yamamoto is not better than Buchnevich, not yet at least. Regardless, Yamamoto plays with Draisaitl and Nuge. Get Connor a liney. Buch plays with Mika in NY on line 1 so he can fill that spot affordably

Ive liked Bennet for a while and he seems to have been a popular candidate for a trade for a while. He's pretty much what the Rangers should be looking for. I have him in the top 6 but a bottom 6 grit guy who can play

Would you move him for Tony? or are you saying he has solidified himself as an untouchable?

Nurse can't pass the puck or contribute on the power play like Klefbom can, his game is different. Jones showed well this past season, but he lacks experience and it may be very risky having both him and Bear in the top-4, especially if Bouchard is pushing for a top-4 spot later in the season. Broberg is 19 years old and is booked for another season in Sweden.

The guys playing the wings on Edmonton's top line need to be able to retrieve pucks in traffic, crash the net, consistently be ready for the puck in the offensive zone, and back check hard. They don't need to be offensive stars, they just need to be able to think quickly, get to open ice, shoot the puck well, and play a responsible 200-foot game. Think about it, playing with McDavid made Maroon a 27 goal player, Chiasson a 22 goal player, and Kassian a potential 20 goal guy. None of those guys have ever been close to that kind of offensive production away from McDavid. Both Maroon and Kassian lack the defensive acumen necessary to push that top line to higher heights, and Chiasson doesn't have the foot speed to keep up.

No doubt Buchnevich has a great deal of offensive potential, but like Maroon and Kassian he is also lacking in areas of the game that are necessary in order to properly compliment McDavid. There are players out there who are probably a better fit, and shopping Klefbom is likely to result in their availability. Holland will have options, and Gorton will have competition.

They can move a dman bc they have the luxury to do so, they aren’t giving him away .l

Some great points..I do think

Kass-McDavid-Buch
Huge-Draisaitl-Yam

would be pretty good. Buch is cheap and rfa as well. His 2-way game and physicality has come along immensely

They aren’t taking less and not adding him, not getting full value is giving away. Not a hard concept to understand

Anyone could play with Connor. The point of trading Klefbom would be to get someone better than a 40 point guy to play with Connor 😐
