Even as a Ranger fan, we are not paying enough for Monahan. Trust me, we are definitely interested. But you could do better than this.

not sure how that helps the flames via nyr trade, thats def not enough to get coots from philly. realistically derek ryan might be the only trade that would actually come close to happening.

Brett Howden, while he gets a suprising amount of minutes, has floundered to awful results in every season. Tony DeAngelo is about as pure an offensive defensemen as there is, he will get lots of points on PP1 and pure o-zone starts, but he cannot defend and needs ridiculous sheltering. Trading Monahan for those two should get the GM Fired.

After undervaluing Monahan supremely, the Flyers aren't moving Couturier for Gaudreau. He's a two-way 1C in his prime, and that's not being moved for a winger who puts up slightly more points but far less defensive impact.

Flipping Ryan is fine, and the Anderson/Jankowski swap, if it's a change of scenery and Kekalainen is fine with it, it's possible.

LOL..... I've seen a bunch of wishful thinking with "Gaudreau to Philly" but this takes the cake. The Flyers have no need for another LW with G, Lindblom, Laughton, Farabee, and JVR. They are tight on the cap. And Couturier is the most replaceable piece in the entire lineup.

Just for future reference: A good winger (especially, one that your fanbase has soured on) doesn't net you Selke-caliber center 1:1.

Well Deangelo >>>>>>> Monahan so it's an instant rejection.

But if you swap Deangelo with Trouba and Monahan with Lindholm, then it's the start of something.
