It’s tough to say what the market will be, just because there are so many quality UFA goalies available. Then in the trade market you may have Raanta, Allen, Andersen as well as Murray.

Depends on his contract ask: I think it would be between a 2nd and a 3rd and two 2nds or equivalent value.

Goalie markets are always random. Doesn't seem very strong right now. Plus he's coming off a down year where he was pulled in the playoffs as well. Certainly isn't looking great. I'm thinking maybe a 2nd?

It's hard to gauge what his market will be but I can't see it being much more than a 2nd round pick, if that. And as a Wild fan (a team people like to trade him to) i'm not interested in really any goalie with the expansion draft coming up, especially Murray who is coming off a down year

Personally, if I'm JR I resign both Murray & Jarry and make a decision at the deadline

the only problem is, what if GMJR's hands are tied and no one wants them at the deadline. I think we need to move him in this offseason so we don't risk losing him for absolutely nothing.

IMO, I think he’s still got value, at least a 2nd round pick +
We are hard here on capfriendly, but a proven #1 goalie is worth more than a poor 2nd round pick. It could be a homerun for the team acquiring him

I would love to think he worth more than a 2nd but again everyone has their own opinion. I would love for Rutherford to get a 1st rounder for him!

You're definitely taking a gamble, but I think it's worth it. That way, you can at least have a better idea of who your future goalie is, if you are unfortunate enough to not be able to move one, you probably don't lose any skaters you value to the expansion draft. But I could be wrong (I don't know much about the Tens expansion draft possibilities)

my guess is we would lose a guy like Hornqvist in the expansion. my mind is made up on Jarry already but Sullivan and Murray are butt buddies so who knows man. lol

Doesn`t matter what he`s worth. He can get a 1st or a real good roster player/prospect.

In a normal world maybe, but with the expension draft coming after the season, there's not a lot of team that will pay the huge price for him and risk loosing him for nothing...Plus with Holtby, Markstrom, Lehner, Khodobin, Greiss, Crawford and Talbot availible via FA and Raanta, Allen and Goergiev on the trade market doesn't help his value. A lot of goalies for an handful of spots.

That is very true. I would take a first rounder before him though
