You'd be selling very high on hyman and that could be an interesting opportunity to recoup assets on a rental player. He'd cost a ton more than this site would like to give for me to bother moving him, but certainly still someone I'd look at moving. See what's out there you know?

I like Holl, but if we are going to improve the blue line you'd like to see other guys come in and we can't afford a 2m 3rd pair guy. Just a cap casualty.

Dermott perplexes me. He shows flashes, but never seems to be able to stick or do it consistently. If he is part of a package to upgrade the Rd I don't mind moving him even with the risks he turns into a good 2nd pair guy.

Kerfoot is very underrated by this fanbase and gets paid a penny compared to other 3cs in the league. I would not even remotely consider moving him without some absurd overpay. Makes no sense.

The team isn't a mess contrary to what others within and outside the fan base like to think. They are close, their core is solid but the depth and peripheral players are not good enough right now. Not that I want a Matt Martin type player, but more sandpaper is needed. Hyman and Dermott are two of the few players who have that. Dermott is also young and improving, he deserves time. He also gets blamed for stuff that isn't his fault a lot. He pinched in game 3 and it led to a goal against but it was Kapanen who blew his high forward assignment that gave up the odd man rush. For me that is the exact play that encapsulates this team. The system is rounding out and certain players just won't help it work. We need some net crashers who are going to be responsible defensively and offer some sand paper in the bottom 6.

I hope nothing I say affects anything on this site lol. You guys do your things, its fun. Its not that I dont want to tell its that I cannot tell so as much as I would like to tell you guys here I cant. So keep your piece to yourself buddy. Just saying.. there are issues with Willy besides on ice performance and it went downhill ever since that late signing.

So you're this close to the team but spend all this time on ACGM instead of maybe working in hockey? No offense but cmon, seems a lot more like speculation than anything concrete

Im personally not close to the team. I have made my sources working in scouting so I know some people from within. Im trying to get into working in hockey. Im just having fun on this site, communicating, getting different opinions and looks.

Well, I'm not sure why you think you can't tell, but my offer still stands. If you wanna hear some insight straight from Mitch's mouth, just spill it here.

First, no one should ever believe what a GM, player, agent, coach, says at a news conference. It's usually well planned for public consumption. No one "plays their hand" at a news conference.
Leafs like so many teams have cap issues. I just don't see many teams being able to dump cap and being able to improve their team on the ice. Might be some cap for cap trade, filling one weakness by trading a position of strength. Either way, the Leafs and most cap strapped teams are going to have to with their current group in all likelihood.

The Leafs do have some wiggle room though since unlike most other teams up against the cap, TO has zero contracts that will be difficult to move.

And his trade market value is exactly of that player which makes it appealing to trade him for very good piece for Defense,

Better off moving Nylander as you'll probably net a better D-man and maybe even a younger one that the team could build a defense around.

I sincerely hope you wrote down the wrong names in your handbook while on phone......but witnessing what Dubarelli did in last years, sadly you might be on the spot
