yea no way were trading for AA AND putting him on the same line as Kerfoot. Hell no. Also, I don't like the Edmonton trade that much

Devils accept. But wouldn't you want to get Severson from the Nylander trade?

Think take kap and AA out of that deal and think it’s reasonable for both teams.

I think you are going to have to pay to get depth. Benning and a 3rd is not really anything I am interested in

This agm is the perfect encapsulation of how chasing grit for the sake of it is a great way to make a good team worse

The Jets can't trade a center they need for a defenseman they don't.

You're right, but maybe he can be a top pairing guy with Reilly for 20 minutes a night

Oilers take the deal 100%. Seems fair to me. Idk about the Nylander trade tho.

A good team that can't get past the first round? Ok sure.

yeah, its almost like playing other really good teams and taking them to 6 or 7 games isnt the doom scenario people like to pretend it is.
But sure, make the team worse with worse players, that'll help

What is the reward for taking a team to 6/7 games but losing the series? If you aren't first, you're last.

As for making the team worse, I'm not sure you understand what the team needs or their cap situation. Sure the trades may not be perfect, but you seem like you are just blind to their clear issues.

If you arnt first your last eh? Is that why the first round is so important? Cause i could swear that other teams that made the 2nd round and failed arnt getting this crap.
And the trades are more than 'not perfect' , 2/3 of them are trash and do nothing to further your make the 2nd round goal.

Where did I say the goal was getting to the 2nd round? I said they can't get past the first round. You cant win a cup (which is still the goal in hockey right?) If you can't get by the first round.

Yeah, because the point that they cant make it out of the first round is irrelevant if you only care about the cup meaning anything.
So if they had made the 2nd or 3rd round theyd have just as many cups.
Also, you built a team less likely to make the playoffs let alone make it out of the 1st round or win a cup
