Completely missing the point. In terms of organizational value, they are the same. Matthews is TOR’s franchise center and Shesty is NYR’s franchise goalie. Neither are getting moved unless an absolutely monumental trade. And that offer is anything but monumental...

Your kidding me right? ADA is a luxury who is likely our 4th best RHD in a year and a half. Shesterkin is as integral to NYR’s success as Matthews is to TOR...

He has 12 nhl games. At 24 years old. If that's your franchise guy, you should probably slow the roll a bit.

He outright won the net and took over. That makes him our franchise goalie. Lundqvist and Georgiev aren’t getting the net back full time and he has been flat out better than the both of them. His potential, age and performance to date has led to this.

No they aren’t... the packaged offered is more than fair. It’s as easy as saying shesterkin is needed more than nylander. Which I agree with.

Did I ever say he was the best goalie in the league? I did not. I said he was our franchise goalie which means he’s the guy in net for us which he is. It doesn’t matter that he’s only played 10-15 games. He’s been seen and talked about as the heir to the net after Hank and he has ascended to take that position as our number 1 goalie.
