Toronto trade ain't bad, I just think that if they trade Nylander is for immediate contribution on RD

yeah draft Dylan Guenther next year and put him at 2LW and move Formenton down. But trading JBD feels so wrong

I'd trade Lassi, I wouldn't trade JBD. I doubt Nylander gets moved for a RD prospect anyway. They'd be looking for a guy who is top 4 ready now.

Leafs arent dealing a 23 year old top line winger for a 1 hit wonder Duclair and 1st round pick thatll be in the high 20s.

yeah but if im Toronto i ask for JBD over Lassi. Toronto has to ask themselves if theyre thinking long term or short term. Because JBD likely comes in like Fabbro and Fox did

That is an intriguing leafs trade. How far along is the prospect, because we'd need the help ASAP. As for Duclair, he's not even in the same dimension as Nylander and the draft pick worst case could be flipped, otherwise it's not much use

Hes playing 1 more year at UND but who knows if college will even play at this point. He’s 20 now so he might be ready to step into the lineup soon just like Fox and Fabbro. He’s likely on the same level as those 2 when they stepped in. He reminds me of Pesce with a bit more offence to him

He might be ready to step in but right now the Leafs need a guy on the right side who can eat a lot of minutes right away. If this were a couple years ago, I think they would jump all over it. The value seems to be there, just not the right timing.

I'd do this if the Leafs were not trying to contend/the deal wasn't in division.

On the surface it's good value, just not what they need.

I dont want to rush the rebuild with a trade like that Nylander trade. He has the least term, and is UFA at the end.

I like the Georgiev value, but I would only want to do it if you could show OTT getting value in a Nilsson/Hogberg trade. We dont need to add more goalies to the pile.

Tierney to WPG is perfect.

Ottawa needs RHD like JBD in the future. Draft Raymond instant of Drysdale , I not sure what Ottawa doing to do but I would keep JBD.

What type of guy would pair best with Chabot? Like a Methot type Dman? Does OTT have anyone like that?

Maybe JBD. But if we are talking trades probably a guy like Carlo, Pesce, Ekblad

How far away is JBD? Ekblad would be interesting to go after

He’s going into his 3rd year at UND. He’s probably a year away from making the NHL
