No way the jets do this. The reason they would consider trading him is either for a 2c or a top 4 Rd. Even then I would probably decline

Yeah the Jets should pass on this, there's some okay pieces here but nothing that moves the needle enough to part with Ehlers.

Fair enough. Carlo's really good so I don't know if Boston would be willing to part with him and Kase in one trade. But they might if he's going to ask for too much money. I doubt they would include Studnicka though he's being groomed to replace Bergeron and Krejci eventually.

Indeed, Studnicka isn't getting moved. So Ehlers to BOS wouldn't really work.

Yeah and I fully understand that, don't want to part with a big young RHD or a future 1 or 2C even if for a quality winger.

I see this as four quarters not being worth a dollar kind of trade, like Grzelcyk is good but the Jets defense is already tiny so probably not a good addition really, the 1st is nice but it's likely a late 1st, Kase is okay but he's a 3rd line winger imo and probably not much better then the Jets current 3rd line wingers and Frederic hasn't done much since turning pro.

I just wouldn't be too thrilled with this trade.

We don’t match up well. Jets don’t want what B’s can offer and B’s are not giving up what Jets want. Look elsewhere. Makes far more sense for Boston to just go sign a FA wing. Hall/Hoffman/Dadonov. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ehlers for McAvoy

Easy no for Boston. McAvoy has been our #1 for a few years now and is only 22yr old.

Lol you ask anyone if they want a young top pairing RHD or a 1st line winger and their taking the RHD. Its one of the hardest things to find.

Listen, the value isnt Horrid (though it isnt perfect either), but the pieces they give up are still a lot.

Who knows man, but "robbing them" isnt true

Ehlers is a top 15-20 winger in the NHL

Kase is a bottom 6 forward
Grzelyk is a bottom 4 defenseman
Trent Frederic has to be a Bruin for his entire career. You cant have a player with the name Trent Frederic and not have him on the bruins
That pick will be a late 20s pick anyways, the trade is very lopsided

Kase is always injured so his trade value is pretty low
Grzelyk has been on the 3rd pair pretty much his whole career
