Y'all are nuts if you don't think Colorado seriously considers this. All those assets for a guy that's never played a game in the NHL? That's ridiculously overpriced and Sakic should be fired for not taking it. & Beregvin would be fires for offering it. As good as people think Byram might be, he's still just a prospect. There's nothing saying Colorado wouldn't get a guy just as good with any of the 3 picks given up, plus they'd have all those other good players already.

The NHL's No.1 ranked prospect - who happens to fill a huge need for us, for:

Drouin, Jonathan ---- overpriced and soft 45 point perimeter forward
Struble, Jayden [Reserve List] --- a long-shot prospect who's highest level played is 21 college games.
Poehling, Ryan ------ a bottom 6 forward who hasn't been able to crack Montreal's roster with regularity
2020 1st round pick (MTL) --- The best piece here by far, but at #16 overall there's no chance of getting a player of Byram's quality.
2021 2nd round pick (MTL) - meh
2021 3rd round pick (MTL) -- meh x2

There literally isn't ONE piece in there that even moves the needle. If we were to trade Byram (huge IF), it would be for a player like Huberdeau, Connor, etc. Not for a mixed bag of Bergevin's spare parts.
