Stop this nonsense about the benefits of LTIR being traded to the Leafs. Certainly doesn't hurt the Wings, Ducks, Sens if the players stays on LTIR.

Leafs are 19m over the cap PLUS they have all those LTIR players . Sorry, bud, it's cap league for all teams.

With a Cap Ceiling This Low and the free agent market decently big this off season I don't see many teams wanting to keep their LTIR contracts especially since owners have already lost lots of money

So tell us, why do LTIR contracts affect the cap or in most cases the $$$ payout by any owner.

Which puts you at 112.5m with 25 roster players (when ir players return)... not gonna fly.

I believe every ltir contract you picked up is insured. This still doesn’t help you try to get back the 30m you are over the cap.

You’re missing a 0 ( a very important 0 mind you) and most of LTIR is paid by insurance. How the hell can you justify being over the cap that much.

Red wings have 0 cap issues, they aren't trading a 3rd for you to put a guy on ltir.

Then I try to point that out that I don’t think he understands to which he has a bit of a smug response.

he is 50m over the cap without relief and wants to give Petro another 10.5m on top of what he has him listed at. That is over 60m!!!

Could you imagine the nhl front office when Dubas sends in the roster to set the ACSL...

So you would like to set the ACSL at.... 112m!!!.... and you still have another 30m in Ltir contracts?

And it's not just him there has been a few ACGM posts where other teams think Detroit will give up a 1st or a 2nd to take Zetterberg's contract.

Redwings are under 60m with zetterberg’s contract are they not? They have some RFA’s to sign of course but I don’t they will have any issues.
