In 125 games for the leafs, Johnsson had 30G, 67P, +12
In 202 games for the leafs, Kappy had 41G, 90P, +6
Johnsson played roughly 3/4 of the time Kappy did in the 18/19 season, matching his scoring and getting 2 more primary assists and 3 less secondary assists. He had substantially less giveaways too, more than the difference in their ice time.
Even this year, with almost double the ice time and 28 more games played, Kappy had 5 more goals, 3 more primary assists and 7 more secondary assists.
For some reason, the leafs deployed him as a defensive forward despite the fact that him being on the ice made them much more likely to get shelled in their own end, he's definitely not great defensively (then again, neither is johnsson)
At worst, I'd say the two guys are basically equal tbh. Not to mention all the off ice drama, sleeping late on practices etc. that kappy had
