      Carolina says no, for sure.

The other two trades are very interesting IMO.

Then you are never getting Laine. This is the minimum acceptable deal

The Carolina trade needs to remove Trocheck and replace him with a better player.

The second one needs to replace Nelson with Wahlstrom and it's getting closer.

The third one doesn't work at all. Montreal doesn't have the players to acquire Laine.

      Isles decline.

If Pulock and Nelson were offered, Winnipeg would accept. Probably why Isles777 declines. A trade like this is what the Jets and Chevy want.

How does removing a top pairing D and 2C (whos our leading goal scorer) make the isles a better team?

The Islanders don't consider that at all.
      The Canes trade bores me.
As for the Habs trade there's clearly no pleasing either side so they need to stop!.. Lol

      Dear Chevy,

Laine is a star playing hockey for your team that can't attract star talent and he's literally good at the hardest thing to do, don't **** this up, sign him long term and build around this kid.

      Sincerely,

Every Jets fan with a brain.

The Jets may want it but the Islanders would not offer it. Pulock and Nelson is a no go. They might trade Pulock but they wont trade Nelson.

Even though Nelson is better positionally for the Jets, I don't think Winnipeg would want to trade a young player entering his prime for another exciting his. Plus I don't see the Islanders giving up 2 key pieces.

The Montreal trade doesn't work because Domi isn't good enough and Chiarot is a bottom pairing defenseman. Don't forget the Jets had Chiarot for years, we know what he is. The reason the Jets need a 2C is to play with Laine and Ehlers. So the massive downgrade from Laine to Domi just doesn't make sense.

Is it just me or did Montreal pay a little bit more, above, for the same Laine?

      Domi=Trochek=Nelson

Pulock+3rd=Pesce+2nd=Chiarrot+1st...... but oh, what the heck, let's just take Caufield, too! smile

It sounds like you're saying that players get better and worse from year to year, except for Chiarot. I know what he was. I know what he is. The above MTL trade is a rip-off.
