Actually not opposed to this in general, man deserves to make SOME money, doesn’t work for Calgary though. Maybe more like 1.5-2 but yeah he deserves more than league min.

Hanifin is worth more and we’re swimming in bottom 6 centres (Bennett, Ryan, Janko, Gawdin) so there’s no point in trading a top 4 D for one. And Holl is worth a 5th, or alternatively Janko straight up, not Janko+3rd. You’re also 3 players short of a roster and Howard sucked so bad to the point that I’d rather try Zagidulin too early than sign Howard.

I hope he gets paid -- he's taken two discount contracts that easily could've been doubled. I hope he makes at least $1.5m next season instead of taking another <$1m deal. He's earned a raise.

Yeah he’s got his two cups now, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a team looking for grit and veteran leadership overpay for him honestly and he deserves it for sure
