For now it’s a L for MTL, especially since they add the pick
But we are getting a big RW to play with Drouin and Suzuki
If Anderson become a 30 goals scorer ( which I doubt ), it would be less lopsided

I hope he can take the MTL Heat! at least he did something and Domi couldn't comeback after playing 4th line

Its all a question of health, they are different players. If Anderson's shoulders have him on the IR more often than not, its a huuuuge loss. But, if he has recovered, then perhaps it is a wash

You're not comparing Armia with Anderson? Anderson is a lot better imo (I hope....)

So we technically just traded 3rd OA and a 3rd rounder for Josh Anderson? A guy who we could have drafted ourselves in 2012 instead of Brady Vail... lmfao

I prefer having Anderson on Suzuki's line than having Domi playing 4C.
Anderson will be way more usefull in the playoffs too

Agree, Anderson is a super nice acquisition, just the price paid is ridiculous. Domi vs Anderson +, fine, not the other way around

I never did a Mantha trade, only one offersheet. So you can’t bring this here

There’s nothing that Anderson has shown as of yet that says he’s better than Armia. I sure hope he is, but I doubt it.

Hard to prove when you're 26 ans have only one full season played

Armia was on pace for 23 goals this year, and he’s a better 2-way player. Like I said, I sure hope that Anderson improves, but I can’t honestly say that he’s better than Armia right now.

But don't you think it's a good idea for the Habs fans who thought it was close to see?

This is why I hope they let Armia walk. Will not be able to afford him in free agency, most likely. Like it or not, with this contract, Anderson could have forced Armia out in 2021!

Yeah, unfortunately he’s probably gone, especially since Ylönen & Caufield are coming up on RW.

Galchenyuk < Domi < Anderson

Anderson is the more complete hockey player. Domi is a solid offensive forward who won't be a physical center and he's not a good fit on wing.

Anderson's size, skating, goal scoring ability (20+) is rare in the NHL today. Habs paid the price to get him and I like the move. Anderson was a team need on wing. Flaws starting to get addressed. Good luck in Columbus Domi!

Caufield yes. He is the real deal. Ylonen? Who knows. He's not doing that great in the Liiga this year with 1 assist in 6 games as a 21 year old playing top 6 minutes and PP. I prefer Armia if we can fit him in the cap. Toffoli or Caufield can play LW did you know ?

Think of it this way. Armia probably plays 4th line this year. His numbers will be affected and factor in the Covid flat cap for the 2nd season? It's possible Armia can sign for $2M if he wants to stay.

However, he does seem like the logical guy that we will let go. Armia and Byron and probably Tatar too.

If you follow the Liiga, you’ll know The Pelicans are really really bad and Ylönen is trying is best to produce but players can’t finish. Playing top line in Laval will give us a better idea

Fair but I don't expect him to be better than Armia.
