It’s gonna take a lot more than that.

Are you comparing a 23 year old 1.15 ppg center under contract for 6 years to a goalie?

I was using an example of how asinine the offer was that a Sabres fan could understand

(27 year old goalie in his prime with a career .918 save %, and 2.53 GAA, signed for 7 more years at a very team-friendly cap hit)

Edit: And those numbers are after a year where he played behind one of the worst D groups in the league.

Yeah man I wouldn't gamble that much with a goalie that old with that term. Not to say he's not elite, I just think the value of the assets you gave up would be more valuable than the remaining elite years of Gibson (with that contract)

Not worth it from a Sabres perspective. We need a backup for Ullmark. UPL is our future starter and by all accounts he can be just as good if not better than Gibson. The value is there though

Yeah, dream on.

Instead of the 2022 first, make it the 2021 first.

Instead of Mittelstadt, make it Cozens.

Instead of Miller, make it Jokiharju.

Leave UPL at home.

Utter hilarity. Goalies dont carry that preposterous trade value

There are maybe 10 players in the league I would trade cozens AND jokiharju AND a 1st for and no goalies are on that list
