Think of it as Bailey for these throw ins and Barzal. Still decline?

I’d do the TB trade but pass on the NYI one. If they want to free up cap space then a first + minor add to take on Boychuk.

I'm pretty sure Tampa declines. Cholowski is still trying to prove he belongs in the NHL and Cernak is an NHL dman. Detroit needs someone to play on the left side and Cernak would be behind Hronek and Seider. Bailey is a good player but he is 31 and where to Wing's are in their rebuild it doesn't make a lot of sense trading Rasmussen who is only 21 and a draft pick. Besides if he gets traded it looks like he will be going to Ottawa.

But no way Tampa says yes to that trade.

it really doesn't make sense for either team. The Isles are set up to win now and Detroit is a ways away from playoffs. So why to they trade a player who helps the Islanders win now for a prospect who most likely needs another season in the AHL, thanks to Kenny. Both teams are a lot better off keeping the players they have.
