I would imagine that Fleury has Detroit on his 10 team no trade list, however I think this is an extremely smart deal for both teams. Red Wings pick up 2 picks for a goalie either equally as good or better than Greiss, and they have the cap space to retain 50% on Fleury's deal if they choose to ship him elsewhere for more assets.

If you swap the Det goalies, I think it’s a good deal for both teams.

VGK actually may prefer Bernier anyway. He makes a little less.

This trade then allows Vegas to try and sign Haula as well, because they would have almost 3 million in space.
