Best player in WJT hands down

Created by: MatthewsFan
Team: 2020-21 Anaheim Ducks
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 29, 2020
Published: Dec. 29, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Zegras is by far and away the best forward in the World Junior Tournament. The Ducks have a future star on their hands. Maybe a Steel for Roslovic trade makes sense for both teams.

Good trade? Who says no?

5 goals and 5 assists in 3 games is pretty spectacular lol, we’ll have to see if Cozens can pick up 3 points against Switzerland later to catch up. I really thought Podkolzin and Raymond would be giving them more of a run for their money, but it looks like it’s just Cozens vs. Zegras at this point.

I don’t see any reason for the Ducks to do this, the projection for centres in the future is
Zegras
Steel
Lundestrom
You don’t trade a 2C for a mid six winger

Points aside, he looks like a man playing with boys out there. Zegras is going to be really good.

Yeah Zegras, Cozens, Byram, and Broberg have all given me that vibe so far. All of them are gonna be amazing I’m sure, and for now it makes for super fun hockey to watch!

Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Zegras has been playing against teams that just can't compete with the Americans. Wait until the games against the other good teams to make a claim like this.

Zegras, cozens, heinola, broberg, stutzle, and byram and maybe podkolzin have all been dominant so far. Really exited for all of them to reach the nhl.

Pretty tough to argue against that. I will say Stuetzle is a pretty close contender considering the lack of support and the insane workload he's had. Dude played like 31 minutes against Slovakia. But Zegras is already a virtual lock for Tournament MVP, unless the Americans **** the bed in the Medal Round. Cozens also in the conversation at least.

Also worth noting the Americans have had a couple of easy games against Austria and The Czechs.

Absolutely, Stuetzle looks like a beast out there. Sens have a good one!

Hear me out...

Cozens is great and all. But he’s overrated and only has the huge PPG because of that German slaughter.

Zegras is currently the best player in the WJC and 2019 Draft rn.

I would like to reopen this discussion. Tim Stuetzle is more impressive than Zegras.

"By far and away" isn't correct.

He's probably the best prospect in the tournament, but Cozens and Stutzle are right there.
