Is it though? That's a lot of mediocre and a pair of 1sts for a #1 in their prime at 4M long term

That's why I'm saying
It matches what Arizona is looking for and they'll be offloading a lot of pricy contracts in the next year or two so it works for both sides.

Yup I agree. With that kind of retention ZONA would get a haul. Issue is, they wouldn’t retain that much.

No one would ever retain that much, the Kessel contract is probably around the most a team would be willing to retain long term. In this situation it is really bad for AZ because of how much OEL is owed in the next 3 years

Yup. The Kessel contract is probably the highest total retained contract. That’s still only 1.2 million per year for however many years it’s been / till it expires
